Palmarosa essential oil is extracted from the Cymbopogon Martini plant by steam distillation. Although Cymbopogon Martini belongs to the lemongrass family, palmarosa essential oil has fresh, floral, scent with a resemblance to rose.

Palmarosa essential oil is used to scent various cosmetic and personal care products. It is also used in numerous perfumery compositions as a middle note.

Used in aromatherapy palmarosa essential oil could help dealing with physical or neurotic exhaustion, grief and stress. Its cheerful, bright aroma uplifts and calms the mind.

Used cosmetically, palmarosa moisturizes the skin by balancing the levels of hydration and stimulates cell regeneration. It is reputed to help with sensitive skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, acne, etc.

Palmarosa essential oil blends well with bergamot, rose, cedarwood, geranium, jasmine, lavender, sandalwood, ylang ylang.
