DESCRIPTION

Sage essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves of Salvia Officinalis plant, also known as Garden Tea. The herb got its name from the Latin word “Selvere” which means “to save”. Sage oil is transparent to light yellow liquid with fresh scent.

Used in aromatherapy, sage essential oil stimulates the mind while also delivering a balancing, calming effect on the senses. It is reputed to be able to banish negative emotions.  It could improve memory and relieve discomfort of the digestive and respiratory systems.

When applied topically, sage oil eliminates toxins, provides relief to small skin abrasions, reduces the visibility of scars, stretch marks, wounds and swelling. Thanks to its hydrating and soothing properties, the oil is especially beneficial for dry or irritated skin.

Sage oil is also used to relieve muscle and joint pain, provide relief to digestive problems and relieve skin conditions such as dermatitis and more.

Sage essential oil combines well with bergamot, geranium, ginger, lavender, lemon, orange, rosemary, tea tree.

 

SUGGESTED USE

Diffuse Sage oil when you need to improve your mental focus.

Dilute in a carrier oil and apply to skin, especially on breakouts, insect bites, stings, small wounds etc.

Add a few drops to your regular moisturizer to experience the benefits of Sage oil for your skin.

Create a massage blend with Sage oil and apply with gentle massage movements to sore muscles or aching joints to relieve discomfort.
